It is important that our clients understand what is involved in earning these designations and how the knowledge behind them benefits our clients. Therefore, we have listed below the meaning behind those designations held.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP)®
This designation identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the certification examinations covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP licensees must also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the CFP Board Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
The ChFC designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client`s total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals.
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
The CLU is the undisputed professional credential for persons involved in the protection, accumulation, preservation, and distribution of the economic values of human life. The CLU program provides insights into the life insurance business, its importance to the economy, its operation and distribution systems, and its importance for safe and secure investments.
To be awarded the CLU and ChFC designation, candidates must pass the required courses for the program, meet specified experience requirements and ethical standards.
